Therapeeps provides therapy that is individually tailored to each child and family’s expressed concerns. Areas of service may include expressive and/or receptive language, articulation, stuttering, voice quality, social communication skills, feeding difficulties, and more. Our team will help put a comprehensive plan in place to effectively manage and treat your child’s specific needs.

Why does this benefit my child?

Early intervention is incredibly important for children with observed delays. Starting speech and language therapy at an early age has statistically shown to yield benefits in academic achievement, behavior, and overall social communications skills. Appropriate management and intervention not only helps to encourage the development of your child’s speaking and listening skills, but will also greatly increase their confidence.

What are the issues that need correcting?

Our therapy sessions focus on concerns such as:

·       Difficulty producing correct sounds in words

·       Difficulty expressing thoughts or using full sentences

·       Difficulty following directions or understanding questions when asked

·       Difficulty socializing or interacting with other kids

·       Delayed talkers, using very few words

·      Poor/weak mastication, causing choking or gagging on food

What does this look like?

Therapeeps will begin by having the parent fill out an intake form and then will move on to scheduling your child for an initial evaluation. During the one hour evaluation, our therapist will complete the appropriate standardized assessment in order to decide the best course of treatment. Once it is determined if the child qualifies for therapy or not, we will provide our recommendations for scheduling services.
